Penny and Adam tie the knot: I'm thankful for

I'm thankful for

"Though miles may lie between us we are never far apart for friendship doesn't count the miles it's measured by heart."

As Adam and I purchased groceries to prepare for our Thanksgiving Day feast it got me to thinking about all the things in my life I'm thankful for. I have an amazing family and the greatest friends a girl could ask for. I'm also planning to marry my best friend in just 10 months. I live in a beautiful city filled with sunshine that's about six miles from the beach. I have two jobs filled with wonderful colleagues and dependable employees. And, I'm a few months away from celebrating my 30th birthday.

To all my friends and family: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you've done for me. I appreciate your friendship and love. I honest don't think I'd be who I am today without the amazing people I've had behind me every step of the way. You're the BEST!

How Adam & Penny Met

The Proposal

Adam surprised Penny with a trip to Captiva Island for the weekend after her birthday. He rented a quaint cottage in the middle of the island and had another very special surprise planned. Upon arrival to the island Adam asked Penny to go to the beach. She agreed. They set off for the beach. They walked to the beach and set up their chairs on the edge of the shoreline. The water was chilly, but that didn't stop the pair from frolicking in the water. As the sun started to set Adam took Penny's left hand. His hands were shaking as he said a bunch of romantic stuff Penny can't remember because of the excitement. He got down on one knee and asked "will you marry me?" Of course, she accepted after saying "are you serious" several times with tears streaming down her face. The beachgoers cheered with acceptance. He opened the cooler and pulled out a bottle of champagne and glasses to toast the engagement.
